Across Britain, many of the traditional crafts that made the country great are in danger of dying out. But not if celebrity couple Dianne and Joe can help it.  

Joe Sugg is former roof thatcher turned internet sensation, and a total history nerd who, as a child, dreamed of being an archaeologist or, failing that, a medieval knight.

Joe met and fell in love with professional dancer Dianne Buswell when they were paired up on ‘Strictly’ and, together, they’re setting off on a history packed road trip to uncover Britain’s incredible endangered crafts and the last few remaining artisans keeping them alive.

Both of them are lovers of traditional crafts and, despite Dianne being pregnant with their first child, they’re both determined to get hands-on with everything, from repairing a royal wheel with one of the country’s few remaining wheelwrights, to recreating a medieval vessel for holy water with one of the last traditional copper-smiths in Britain. Their competitive streaks come to the fore on a mission to create bespoke dream commissions using centuries old techniques.  But will they have what it takes to make modern day magic happen using the powers of the past? Will former thatcher Joe take to willow-weaving like a duck to water? Or will dancer Dianne discover her natural rhythm makes her an instant whizz with the blacksmith’s hammer?
